The genesis of the Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga Foundation can be traced back to the indomitable spirit and profound vision of the late Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga. A distinguished leader, a compassionated advocate and tireless servant of the Catholic Church, Buganda Kingdom, and the country at large.

Archbishop Lwanga’s life was a testament to the transformative power of empathy and social responsibility. Throughout his illustrious tenure, Archbishop Lwanga demonstrated an unwavering commitment to addressing multifaceted challenges facing society particularly, in the realms of education, poverty, healthcare, and community development. His visionary leadership left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, inspiring a collective desire to carry forward his legacy of compassion and service.

In honor of Archbishop Lwanga’s enduring legacy, the Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga Foundation was established in 2022.. Rooted in the principles that defined the archbishop’s life – justice, inclusivity, and empowerment. The Foundation embarked on a mission to continue and expand upon the noble initiatives initiated by its revered namesake.
